It' sucks letting some dreams go.

This is where I officially pull the plug on Market for the Blind.
The site is shutting down.
Why? Because apparently nobody wants it.

I originally created Market for the Blind as an alternative to the endless parade of email-based buy-and-sell lists. You know the ones.
People have complained about those systems for years. So I built something else.
And, well...
Nobody really used it.
At least, not enough people to justify continuing to pay for it.

Running a website isn't free. There are development costs, server costs, domain costs, and all the other assorted expenses involved in keeping something online. Market for the Blind has been costing me money every month, and at this point I'm simply throwing money at a project that apparently nobody particularly cares about.
I'm not interested in doing that anymore.

I know this probably isn't going to cause much of a stir. I suspect most people will read this, shrug, and move on with their lives. And that's fine. Honestly, that's part of the reason I'm shutting it down in the first place.
But I'm leaving this page here so that if somebody goes looking for the old MFTB site, they aren't simply greeted with a mysterious dead link and left wondering what happened.

Thanks to the handful of people who actually tried it.
